My first Christmas

We spent last night with Alex’s mom and extended “border” family. We ate, we wrapped presents, we played games, we ate more, opened presents at midnight and then went to bed about 4am. It was a really great experience.

The day was amazing – I learned all about bachelor Christmas shopping as we scurried around the mall and shopped for half a dozen people in less than an hour.

I traded in my training wheels yesterday for my real engagement ring (the band came in!!):
